Not quite correct: The first NEC Multisync CRT monitors accepted
15 kHz video signals.
A friend of mine had a "Multisync 3D" and used it with his Amiga
(via RGB) and later with his first PC.

However, the early NEC Multisyncs are not the best VGA-monitors,
as they only adher to the official IBM standard which meant
1024x768 in interlace mode at the time.

You have also the unusual dual-sync (15 kHz/31 kHz) monitor of the Amstrad MegaPC :
