Correct. The USA NTSC IIe uses a 4KB (2732/2332) chargen while the PAL
and International NTSC m/b use an 8KB (2764/2364) chargen with the
switch selecting between the two character sets.

All IIe have 2KB (2716/2316) keyboard mapping ROMs with two keyboard
maps - the US model has std and Dvorak while the international models
have std and localized layouts and the same switch that selects the
chargen also selects the keyboard map.

The UK IIe (also sold here in Australia) had only one character
changed in the chargen - the # is replaced by the UK pound symbol and
as both share the same ASCII code the two keyboard maps are identical.
