What is it with prices on the IIe Platinum on eBay? Egads. Are they
really that hard to find? I finally picked one up for a good price and
the seller neglected to mention the rust on the back, below the
motherboard and well done under the power supply.
Some light sanding and such will fix it and I have several replacement
motherboards of the same make. The case itself is pretty good, but
will require a bit of cleaning. Especially the sticker on the bottom
that says "Board of Corrections". Hah!
The good news is with the auction is they neglected to mention they
had a Apple Workstation card inside. Yippee!
Now I just need to find the dongle for it.

I got lucky recently and picked one up off ebay for 19.99. It was a
real treat 'cause it came with the original box and styro packing,
manuals, diskettes. Still had the 64k/80 col card installed, a
superserial ii card installed (unopened manual), and a disk i/o card.
SCORE!!! Oh yeah, and after I cleaned it up and powered it on, it
works fine!
Light yellowing around keyboard area only also!
