Hi Chuck,
I wasn't concerned about saving disk space on the CP/M side:
"Note: ZIP archives have been used to keep the source disks neat and tidy.
However, these are uncompressed zip files (type 0) which are the only type
of zip files that the CP/M unzip.com program provided with these disks can
handle."
My goal was to create an archive on my Windows machine using the STANDARD
ZIP uncompressed format without special tools.
The reason I wanted to create the archive in the first place was to keep the
sources together and to make nice tidy disks for Dan and others who use the
Apple II to write CP/M 80 programs. In likelihood, nobody will care about
the source but in case they do it's there. In the meantime, it fits on a
single disk (sides 1 and 2) notched in the usual manner with room to unzip.
I want to discuss DOSPLUS in separate thread.
