history of BugByter creation

Hello folks,

The miracle of internet - I was able to contact the author of
BugByter, Mr. Ted Cohn. He was kind enough to satisfy my request and
write a short document about the creation of BugByter. With much
rejoicing I have put his work onto my website:
http://softjunk.org/doc/apple2/index.php

As some of you may remember, I am big fan of BugByter and was looking
for it some time ago. Then I was delighted to find it archived (albeit
kind of hidden) at Asimov, as pointed by the more knowledgeable of
you.

Now even more good news - there is practical chance that the source
could be revived. Mr. Cohn still keeps disks with the source and is
looking for fellows to help him image them. Please all of you living
in the US, and especially those near Nevada, have a look at this
thread:

I hope more of this stuff happens in the future, as it brings a lot to
the Apple II society:
  1) more software archived (esp. in original form) along with
interesting history tidbits/trivia
  2) more software sources archived (and this part is definitely
overlooked so far, so much good stuff lost for eternity)
  3) more "old" Apple II users coming back and joining us

I'd like to encourage everybody to attempt persuading more people to
do like Mr. Cohn did. While true that some genius souls and their
disks are already in other dimensions, there are plenty still living
on this planet.

Apple II forever!

Cheers,
  -- Vlad
