Personally I'm pleased with the choice - Quartus is only available on
Windows to non paying customers and 2k5 is a lot more than I'm
prepared to pay for 'fun'

And again Windows specific :-( I'm at least hopeful that someday the
gEDA tools will do everything I want. It'd be lovely to one day have
Mac support too. Their toolchains seem to be primarily built in Java,
so it can't be *that* hard.
