I can confirm from experience that the MultiGate and MultiPort/LT
provide MacIP and here is an extract from page 9 of the MLTGuide:

"You set up the MultiPort/LT to recognize MacIP protocol and serve IP
addresses, and simply equip each Macintosh with Open Transport."
