Re: Apple II in the UK?

I'm in the UK and have been interested (on and off...) in getting a IIe for a while - the few that do appear on eBay seem to go for 'silly money'. Well, far more than I'm prepared to pay for one.

From the last one that I say sell on eBay, it seemed like a more cost effective option to get a IIgs from the states, unless you really need / want a IIe.

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can buy an Apple IIe in the UK? I've been
scouring EBay for weeks, but to no avail, and my posting in c.s.a.m.
has not had a single reply. Are they really that scarce here in the
UK?

Thanks,
Nick.

I did buy my IIe from Germany through eBay. And later a II europlus from UK, also though eBay. so it is not impossible one just needs a bit of patiance. Buying from US is not so nice because of the different power voltage.

I thought IIe's weren't too expensive but working II+'s would get silly prices. As I'm after the nostalgic feeling I like the IIe better than the IIgs and the II+ even better. The II+ was expensive even if it was untested and as expected not working. There were two faulty ic's (one of them a RAM). If I ever get a IIgs it must be a socalled stealth IIgs (looks like a IIe)
