Only logically. The aux slot normally has only extra memory. The rest of
the circuit for 80 col display is on the MB. If there is no card in slot 
3 AND there is a memory card in the AUX slot, "PR #3" will switch to the
80 col mode.

Slot 7 indeed has some video related signals not found elsewhere.
Pin 19 - /sync
Pin 35 - 3.58 MHz color reference

See if these pins are wired on your board. In any case it has a better 
chance working in slot 7.
