Re: RGB card
As I stated earlier, the only connector on this card (other than the
card edge) that is available for picking up other signals from the IIe
motherboard is J1. Tonight, I put the card in slot 7 and connected the
14MHz clock to J1 pin 1 and video to J1 pin 2. I got the best results
using the single-pin J12, which carries composite video. Using /SEROUT
for video wasn't as good. In any case, I did not get a stable display.
I did get a series of dots/lines on the RGB monitor that correspond to
where the composite monitor was showing "Apple IIe" and the cursor.
So, some progress, but nothing useable yet. Adjusting the controls on
the RGB monitor did no good.
I freely admit that I only half understand what I am doing here. If
anyone with more knowledge of the Apple circuitry and digital circuits
would care to make a suggestion, I would appreciate the help.
