I actually purchased it in a computer store in January of 1984 (which
is how I deduced it was published in '83, although I suppose it could
have come out in '82).  Its been suggested that it was related to some
contest the magazine was running, to the effect of the designer of the
best game getting his work formally published & marketed, but I'm not
really sure.
