I found a lot more under the panasonic HHC name/ yes 6502 and Forth based. 
Mine has a different printer from most. It is a tiny drum plotter with a very 
tiny barrel for 4 pens that can rotate into place. it includes forth commands 
to use a vector based font.

I got it working. I think I'll keep it after all :-)
