card catalog program?

Are there any programs available for an Apple IIe that function as a
library card catalog? A friend of mine wants to index his home library.
He doesn't have much money, and is wondering if he can use one of his
old computers that are gathering dust for the task. He'd like to use
either his old Apple IIe or his old 286, both of which have been
gathering dust for years. He asked me because he knows I work in IT and
got started on the Apple IIs.
A link to a place where I can get him an MS-DOS based program would also
suffice, even though I realize asking for that is off-topic.
