AppleWorks has a database module which would be fine for this sort of
thing. I used it to keep track of my CD collection, and my user group
used it for their membership database.

I have to dredge my memory as to what it looked like. My recollection is
that it is a simple flat file database, with support for two layouts: a
"record" view (with a fair amount of control over field placement) and a
"list" view. It can do finds, sorts, etc. It can also print out mailing
labels, and do mail merge in conjunction with the word processor (e.g.
form letters).
