Well, that's good Steven. ;-) But, I believe we are talking about file downloads, aren't we Greg? ;-)

Well, I was more of the opinion of them charging you for every byte, not just specific downloads.

However, if they did that, I'd really raise some hell. My router counts anywhere from 3-25MB of traffic overnight when every computer I have is either off or asleep. I'd hate to go through the annoyance of starting up the cable modem, then starting up the router every day.


Or worse yet, something that happened to me with the power company. The meter guy installed my meter on a house with family of 5, while installing their on my 1 bedroom apartment with just me, and, by the time the problem was resolved, I had over $400 in credits, but, they didn't have to make up their differences. That sucked when I heard that part. Also, the meter guy was dismissed from duty, which didn't sit well, but, he should've paid closer attention to what he was doing. Imagine if you were being charged for bandwidth of a large office, and they for yours, which is why I doubt that they will ever put a per byte charge into action.
