Found another one that might be up some people's alley...
aioe.org
They have a free, non-authenticated news server available. There are
some limits:
Only able to post 25 articles a day, and only able to establish 600
total connections in a day before being banned. 8MB per day down, 350KB
up. Should be reasonable for text only.
Now, they do have different limits mentioned in different parts of the
site, so you'll have to pay attention.
