Ug, that's not a good sign re: being able to open the Zip files but not extract anything from then.
Would you be able to download any 2image archive to see if that unzips correctly?
I've zipped all the archives using StuffIt Standard v9.01 on MacOS X 10.4.11 and they should be stripped of any Mac specific icons or resources. When I downloaded the ROM01 image, it unzipped correctly. What program are you using the unzip archives?
