Re: BBS Software
I have a METAL BBS up & running. At least I used to. It's been turned off
for a few years because even though I had it accessible from the internet
via telnet, nobody logged on so I shut it down. With the intrest piqued here
lately, I might turn it on for a while and see what happens.

At this point, the only reason for putting up an A2 BBS is for nostalgia.
I find that as an application designer, it is valuable to return to the
roots of programming, and A2 BBSing is a good way to accomplish this.
It would be interesting, possibly fun to see what a bunch of old-timers
could do, since anyone playing with an A2 BBS probably has at least 20
years of programming experience. Whoever owns the rights to ACOS, MACOS,
or anything else, why not open it up and see what we can do with it?

Maybe Kevin will answer you, I have no idea what he plans. I have my BBS
up on my old //e, plus a backup of it on a rom 3 IIgs. Right now there is
no phone line hooked to it, but it works just fine. I have access to it
from the computers plus via a nul modem off of my old Old Performa.
