It's been many, many moons since I last powered up my Apple IIGS (12
years to be exact). I used to frequent comp.sys.apple2 back in the
heyday of Usenet - but since life got in the way, and I put the IIGS
in storage.
Until now.
I have brought my IIGS out of retirement (it's a Woz edition ROM1 with
4MB of RAM, ZipGS 8MHz 32K cache and a Second Sight VGA board. I
connected the IIGS up to a VGA LCD display and was able to see the
power-up screen. However, I don't have any IIGS software with me, and
the SCSI (80Meg) hard drive that was also tucked away in storage
appears to no longer work.
I'm thinking about getting a CFFA card that'll boot into System 6.0.1,
but haven't yet made the plunge.
Looking forward to reconnecting with fellow Apple II users. It's been
a long time, and I'm glad to be back.
