I don't think $50 will make a difference to the person plunking down
hundreds of dollars for a replica board. You're already selling to a
niche segment of hardcore users, in an already small group of
hobbyists. The people who buy your board are going to value accuracy,
reliability and the ease of assembly over cost. If the reduction were
more signicant, and could be accomplished without losing the
nostalgia, it would be more worthwhile.
