The board on the right is an original rev 0 Apple.  The board on the
left is a replica from my first batch with machined sockets.
The machined sockets (left) are roughly 4 times the cost of the solder
tail variety.  In fact many common 74ls series parts can
be purchased for less then the cost of a machined socket.  I'm not
sure how you differentiate between the solder tail and the kind with
the hidden contact.
