Re: Received Apple SCSI card rev C. I need an opinion

I'm afraid, i was wrong. It boots normally from floppy drive even with
SCSI drive turned off.

I tried with 6.0.1 disc 2 and other software and it starts normally.
It stopped during 5.0.4 disk boot because i've had SCSI driver and
SCSI manager installed on it so in the latter part of boot it searched
for SCSI drive and did an error
just a few second before desktop would have appeared. If there is no
SCSI driver it boots and there is no relation with hard drive state
(On / off).

I've checked, my Apple SCSI card isn't modified so i guess is the
drive or the case providing termination power.
Hard drive is a common Quantum prodrive 80 whose jumpers are:
|SS|EP|WS| |A2|A1|A0| so, as far i know, there is no user control to
disable/enable internal termination or bus provided termination power.
I do not know my case brand however i used one classic external
terminator to close the chain. Is quantum prodrive, according to you,
providing termination power?
Is there a risk if noone provide this power and the chain isn't
properly closed?
