I did it once again with the 800 KB images and it worked like a charm.

Did you follow the following process?
- Boot under GS/OS
- insert LemminGS.Disk1
- drag/drop disk icon to your destination folder
- eject disk 1
- insert LemminGS.Disk2 (and .Disk3 if you have two drives ;-)
- open LemminGS.Disk1 of the destination folder
- launch the Installer file
- click the Install button...
- locate the LemminGS program file (hint: same folder)

wait for the copy to be done

That's it!
