Definitely true, but I was thinking strictly in terms of classic Tetris.
Incidentally, the 256 color Tetris I was thinking of is actually called
"Tetrotrix" (Tetris II is yet another port, though I'd have to dig up
its disk to remember its details and who wrote it).
