If the Black & white are  alternating stripes, on an original model //
c - could mean:

- a keyboard is not plugged in.
- the Open-Apple key is stuck down or being pressed by a prankster.
- the AY3600 Pro (Keyboard encoder) is bad.
- a joystick with a stuck 0 button is plugged in.

Those are the more likely problems - a dead/bad motherboard is also
suspect.
