If you can't find a genuine Apple IIgs monitor, the other option open
to you is to find an older CRT monitor capable of doing ~15KHz sync.
Such monitors include those made for the Amiga and Atari ST. Of
course, if you choose to go with this method, you will need to wire
your own cable (or have one made for you). The Apple II FAQ has some
suggestions for other suitable monitors and also some pinouts for
wiring your own cables. I recently wired up and old Commodore 1084S
monitor for use on my daughters IIgs.
