This unit has been recommended as being functional with Commodore 128s. A
simple modification involving 3 resistors and 3 diodes apparently adds support
for the intensity signal:

If it's not going to work the IIgs also, I'll probably break down and buy that
$200+ unit from Highway Electronics.
