Re: AppleColor Composite Monitors discussion

I have not read in this discussion a list of available monitors that
will work on the IIx (Apple2x) or maybe cards that will allow flat
screen use. Just asking... No flames/smoke please.
And I would add to what Rich replied: the AppleColor Composite
monitor is the only monitor readily available in the US that supports
extended (8MHz) bandwidth in monochrome mode--making it the only such
NTSC that supports 80-column text well.
Composite color monitors display superior color displays for most
Apple II applications, since the art was originally designed to be
viewed on a composite monitor.
So if you want composite color for graphics and 80-column-capable
monochrome resolution, the AppleColor Composite is the one-monitor
solution.
The other way to go is both a composite monitor (or TV) *and* a
monochrome monitor--and many people took this approach in the
early days.
