sync standards back then (in addition to sync on green, which aided
color monitor usage on some black and white sources.)
To invert sync though, one either needs an IC or transistor (and some
resistors) and this can get messy.
Past that, your monitor might be broken too. It did come from Ebay...

I should have read ahead--I just suggested inversion, too.  ;-)

Someone must have some specs on this monitor...?

BTW, since it syncs fine with a DVD player, I think the monitor is
fine.
