128K was fairly common for extended language cards. This works out to
be 16K x 8 banks. This requires 3 extra address bits to be latched and
as it happens there are 8 C08X locations that are unused in the 16K
design that can be used to select the appropriate banks.
As far as applications that run under ProDOS & DOS are concerned, the
computer is still a 64K system. Only the IIe (with 64K card in the Aux
slot), the IIc and the IIgs are 128K systems.
