If you have a flatbed scanner, you can also get surprisingly good images of
expansion cards by placing the card on the glass and scanning it at 100-200
dpi. The depth of field of the scanner optics usually extends at least a
half-inch above the glass. Before I bought my digital camera, I used this
approach to add pictures of cards I was looking to unload on eBay.
The images I've gotten this way are sharp as a tack, and you don't have to
worry about flash glare, camera shake, etc.
