Apparently, a lot of people replace their power supplies hoping to
fix instabilities or other problems, or just to upgrade, but for
an Apple II (or several) they are perfectly functional.

But this actually seems like it has a switch, as opposed to the ATX ones out there. Where I am there are no thrift stores that carry anything like that....
