I had previously thought that as well. But, after discovering that my card 
with the B chip would not work in any of my IIGS's (all of them either ROM 0 
or ROM 1), I did some research online and found several sites reporting that 
ROM 0 & 1 require the A chip and won't work with the B, while the ROM 3 
requires the B chip and won't work with the A.
