Getting increasingly OT, but there are no more than four bit rates,
custom ROM or not, as there are only two bits (in a hardware register)
to select them. Also you rarely need a custom ROM for anything since you
can load your own code into the drive's RAM.

Apple 5.25" drives don't have the hole sensor either.
