Re: Got an Apple IIe system today, some questions for ya

You guys rock.

Granted I love old computers and want working ones of each, but it's
your love to the Apple 2's that is pulling me in.
My first computer I ever used was the Trs80 Mod III's, then I got a
C64, the a PC (Zenith Heath XT), then an Amiga, so on.

While I used Apple's on the rare occasion, I never actually got to
really get to know them.

Since I have a GS, and a Lazer 128, I don't think I'm going to bother
overly on upgrading this IIe, unless it all works out that way.  Since
reading that the Lazer128 and the GS is rougly equivelent to an
expanded IIe (correct?), I guess there isn't really any point.


Okay, I assume it can output color thru the composite out?   I know I
can put it in 80 column mode, because I have.
I guess if I wanted to use a better monitor, I'd have to get some sort
of video card for it.    I like it's green mono monitor, that was
always my favorite color of those monitors.   Of course, I have like 3
amiga monitors around, so i'm not lacking for decent monitors.

A buddy of mine has a bunch of apple2 cards, so I'm going to hit him
up for extras, though he doesn't have any scsi cards.   =(

I'm just happy that this has been sitting in a decent garage for the
last 15-20 years.   Some of the disks still look brand new, and
considering how hard they are to find, thats really nice.  =)

As for that 2nd joystick.  It has the internal connector on it.  That
was my problem, because I know where it plugs in, I just haven't
figured out they put it out the case.  the only place it would work is
where the other connecters are at, but i'm not sure how it was done
and I don't want to force anything.

I'll try to get some pictures of it and show you what I mean.  I'm
dyslexic, amoungst other things, and tend to confuse others very easy
with what i'm trying to say.
