I doubt the power supply can support that many. ;) Back in the day, 8 could be
done, but you were advised to keep a spare supply handy.

It would seem possible to use an external power supply for some.
That might involve splicing into the cables, though, which some might
not want to do.

The original IBM PC power supply couldn't run the motor of two drives
at once.  To fix that, they invented the twisted cable such that the
MOTOR ON lines were separate between the two drives.  (The traditional
method turned them all on at once.)   The AT supply should have had
enough power, but the twist was continued.
