Yes. The Apple SuperDrive (high density 3.5" floppy drive) can be used
on a IIgs, if you have an "Apple II 3.5 Disk Controller Card", a.k.a.
the "SuperDrive Card". This combination is rare, as Apple were only
selling the controller card for about a year before they discontinued
the IIgs, and the combination of drive and card was quite expensive.

This is not to be confused with the older "Apple 3.5 Floppy Disk Drive
Interface Card" (if I remember its official name right), a.k.a. "Liron".
This card only works with the UniDisk 3.5 (and other intelligent
SmartPort drives).

Emulators should be OK. A real IIgs would only be able to use it if it
had a SuperDrive or a suitable volume such as a RAM disk which could be
used as a temporary boot disk.
