Re: Apple IIplus keyboard encoder

I'd like one, Vince--beautiful job!

Thanks Michael, the idea has been on the shelf for a while until recently I decided to restore some of my IIplus computers and found serveral that suffered the ESD issue with these encoders. When I was at VCF last year for the Apple 30th I remember hearing Woz mention something about the ESD problem in the keyboards. Well, the encoding is all firmware and appears to work great. Then I added the ps/2 code used in the replica 1 but I was going to use a switch between the two keyboards as an option select. Well, I figured out that I could just poll select the two keyboards and send the keystroke data from both as they come in. This allows duel keyboard operation.

It may be possible to create a ps/2 to IIe but I don't have the time and it is a whole different animal.

I should have some together by next weekend.

Me too, please? Very cool...

I would be QUITE interested in a PS/2 to IIe keyboard adapter, BTW.
