I have a //e with a CCS 7710 serial card in it. However, I have absolutely
no comms software. I'd like to find out if the card is actually functional,
or if it's gone the way of the Dodo.
Assuming it's working, would the following program work?
10 PR#2
20 FOR X=1 TO 5
30 PRINT "TESTING"
40 NEXT X
50 PR#0
The idea is that I then link up to another machine (probably a Windows
machine running Hyperterm) and alter comms settings on the PC, running that
program after each adjustment, until I either get something through or jump
out of a window screaming.
I'd rather the former, obviously.
Thanks.
Jim
