Re: Toolbox Guide for Dummies

Hi Dean,

Even if I am able to help 1 extra person (the web site is primary
designed for my son), or pulled in 1 extra Apple II user, it is worth
all the effort. :)

I started from Applesoft, then later 6502 assembly, but I am never
really a Pascal programmer for Apple IIGS only until now. I am looking
for th Applesoft replacement for my son (he has learned this language
in about a week and I need something as simple but more powerful), and
at this time, I am introduced back to Complete Pascal and completely
blown away by its simplicity. You can see from all my sample codes
that except for the Pascal syntax (I am not going into BASIC vs Pascal
debate - I like both), this is the really the type something and run
codes, and QuickDraw is simply amazing. It might be slow when I am
using the real GS, but with emulation this is no longer the
limitation.

If you either own an Apple IIGS, or a PC or Mac running Apple IIGS
emulation - my suggestion is to go Complete Pascal or GSoft BASIC, and
try it out. It is really fun.
