Chuck Yeager's Advanced Flight Trainer had some congratulatory and "chewing out" utterances--again, all 1-bit. And in 1981 I wrote sound recording and playback routines using the cassette input and speaker output. They are on my website in my Hex Dump Reader. If you look inside the BASIC program, you'll find routines to digitize sound and explore recorded sounds--the very routines that were used to make the hex digit sounds! Lots of people wrote such routines, but almost all of them were restricted to 1-bit sound both by the cassette input and by simple speaker play routines. -michael NadaPong: Network game demo for Apple II computers!
