Hi, guys.

   Michael, do observe, this is not a digital sampling device but an
analog converter.  I myself have an RGB->YPbPr converter... purely
analog.. which works perfectly.. and does NOT produce the banding Rob
is experiencing.  I think it's likely his converter is lower grade
than mine, even though more expensive.

I understand that, but your *monitor* is resampling the video signal,
and that's where the problem occurs.  Sorry I wasn't clearer about this.

If you were to display the output of your converter on an analog CRT
monitor, you would not see those beats or aliases, since then no
resampling is done.
