One might say the same about CDDB (sorry, Gracenote).

The trick is distributing the construction.  Even so it'll be a lot of
work for one person to manage the input, but I think it's doable.

Who would read it depends upon how complete, accurate, and authoritative
the data is.  I doubt anybody will get rich off the advertising though. :-)
