Also, this hypothetical site should somehow emphasize the acceptance
of new image submissions.  I remember someone searching for Gertrude's
Puzzles - not an unknown title by any means - in vain until I posted
it just a few months ago.  I'm not tooting my own horn here, just
saying that there is undoubtedly lots and lots of Apple II software
out there, in private collections stashed away in closets and attics,
existing only in fragile and decaying 5.25" form, and I think we could
be way more proactive in getting that stuff archived.  Even if *we've*
already contributed every single disk we have, who's to say that there
aren't lots of folks out there who would do likewise if they had the
means - or even knew that they could?  Someone happens across the type
of site I described in my previous post, sees a well-lit section for
uploading new disk images, perhaps a slick primer on ADT (something
like this site http://adtpro.sourceforge.net but perhaps more
simplified), gets some spare time... and we end up with images that we
didn't have before, submitted to the Library-of-Congress of Apple II
software sites, a place that knows exactly how to treat what it
receives.
