Fox Valley does exactly this. My GS connects to the net through a Fox
Valley dial-up shell and a 28.8 kbps modem. The shell includes an
email account (useable through pine), news access (through tin), web
browsing (through lynx and links), and a few megabytes of disk space.
Telnet, ftp, and irc are also available. File transfers to and from
your Apple II can be done via x-modem and z-modem.
They're based out of suburban Chicago, but they have local numbers all
over the United States. I've successfully dialed in toll-free from
St. Louis and Kansas city.
