Good work!
I bought all the necessary components to do this mod also, but lost
motivation with all the desoldering. Unlike you, I do not have a good
desoldering tool. My motivation took another dive just recently when I
managed to purchase a 4Mb card off eBay for AU$20.50 (although I had
to up it to 4Mb by using 2Mb of DRAM's that I already had).
Thanks for posting your results though, as I do intend to give it a
try in the near future.
Did you try and compare the schematic with the actual images presented
on the original site? Even though the original images were of a poor
quality, I tried to compare them, but found some discrepancies (it was
a couple of months ago now and I don't remember what the discrepancies
were). Did you find this, or did you simply follow the schematic?
cheers,
