You do not have to use dynamic RAM (but it is easier) in a new IIgs
RAM card design.
Look at the Apple IIe Aux slot - it is designed for DRAM cards but
Apple released an 80 column text card that used a 1KB SRAM chip by
using additional chips to demultiplex the address bus.
