By the way, shouldn't it be MM*57*40AAE?

I'm also looking for some replacement keyswitches for that keyboard,
a couple of mine don't always return to the up position and it seems
like they can't be opened up without cutting or breaking them.
Do you know of a source for them?

You might consider putting a "just right" spring under the keycap,
around the post, to provide the proper return force.

If the internal spring is not broken, then the switches may just need
cleaning to reduce friction at the post.  A good plastic-safe contact
cleaner should do the job.

Contact cleaners will also contain a very small amount of lubricant
to stay behind after the solvent evaporates.
