Re: Apple II keyboard encoder MM7540AAF

You should first try to revive the key switches - see-
http://www.willegal.net/appleii/appleii-keyboard.htm

I have a few of those keyswitches (from a later, scrapped II+ keyboard) and will sell small quanities for $5.00 each, plus $2.00 postage per shipment. Contact me off list. I've noticed that someone else has been selling them on ebay, as well.

One of these parts blew on one of my old Apple II keyboards. After
quite a number of inquiry's I found a source for replacement parts,
but the cost is high $33(each, quanity 12) and there is an minimum
order of $200.00 in effect. Anyone have a need for these and
interested in sharing with the cost.

Mike, I'd be interested in getting one to keep as a spare. I'll
contact you off list.

By the way, shouldn't it be MM*57*40AAE?

I'm also looking for some replacement keyswitches for that keyboard,
a couple of mine don't always return to the up position and it seems
like they can't be opened up without cutting or breaking them.
Do you know of a source for them?

Thanks.
