Apple II composite video to LCD/Plasma

With the proliferation of modern day TV Sets/Monitors which use the LCD
and/or Plasma technology....just wondering if anyone here has ever
bothered to hook up any of their Apple II computers (via the built in
composite video output) to the composite video input of such said
TV/Monitor displays?

If so, what has been your experience? Does output on the screen look
decent? Garbled? No good at all? Only good in 40 column mode? Do game
colors display correctly? Useable in 80 column mode?

I tried hooking up my Apple //c to an Intec LCD screen (the 5.x inch size
which was made to fit onto a Nintendo GameCube).....and the results were
somewhat disappointing....although that particular display is
dissapointing even with a GameCube hooked up to it, so I believe it's not
really indicative of the results one might have when trying to hook up an
Apple II to a decent LCD/Plasma display via composite.

Hope to hear from anybody who has tried this!
best regards.
